project tools

Brainstorm
Brainstorming is a way in which a business can note down some ideas how the project is to be organised. Brainstorming is usually written in words or some sentences to not make it to complex. For example when organising a party you have to write down bits of information about where, who, when and other stuff.

Gantt chart
A Gantt chart is simple a chart showing how long all the tasks should take. This is very useful to an organisation as it tells them exactly how long each task should take and when the tasks will finish. Organisations create Gantt charts not only to show them self’s how long each task will take but also show the customer.

Pert chart
Pert stands for program evaluation and review technique. A pert chart is a project management tool which coordinates tasks within the project. Pert charts estimate the time taken for each task with determines the critical path. Pert charts are used in businesses to manage their time and to see how long the tasks will take and if they could find a shorter time.

Critical path analysis
A critical path method is finding the minimum time needed to complete a project. They start at the first stage and go round all the tasks by calculating with one is the fastest and how to get there.  This benefits a project team because they can finish the project in a shorter amount of time which can reduce spending and other materials. Critical path analysis works by obeying a simple rule that is a task can’t start until the previous task has finished. For example the implementation of the project can’t start without the design of the project being competed.
